Unity in Flood Emergency Response

Saturday May 11, 2024 The Government, in collaboration with development partners, has been actively engaged in emergency response efforts to ensure that essential services in health, nutrition, WASH, and other basic necessities reach marginalized communities affected by the flooding situation. 

To comprehensively assess the needs of displaced persons in Nairobi for better response, Principal Secretary State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni today participated in a joint monitoring visit to various service points in Mathare.

The delegation consisted of Ms. Etleva Kadili, UNICEF Regional Director Eastern and Southern Region ,Ms. Shaheen Nilofar, UNICEF Country Representative, Ambassador Neil Wigan, British High Commissioner and Ms. Eduarda Mendonca, FCDO Deputy Director.
