Strengthening Primary Health Care For Prevention And Early Detection Of Cancer

Principal Secretary State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Dr Mburu had a meeting with International Atomic Energy Authority officials led by the Director Division for Africa Professor Shaukat Abdul Razak,the discussion focused on strategies to strengthen the Primary Health system for prevention and screening for early detection of cancer.  
The PS noted that the government is shifting focus from curative health to preventive and promotive health and that prevention and early detection is the surest way to tame the cancer menace.
