Strategic Meeting for Regional Health Programme Launch: Principal Secretary Kimtai Leads Discussions

Nairobi, Kenya - 3rd April 2024 - Mr. Harry Kimtai, the Principal Secretary of the State Department for Medical Services, convened a meetingย todayย with Dr. Jane Chuma, the World Bank Kenya Country Office Representative, Prof. Yoswa Dambisya, the Director General of ECSA โ€“ Health Community, Dr. Fatuma Adan, IGAD's Head of Mission to Kenya, and Dr. Peter Cherutich, the HEPRRP Kenya Project Coordinator.ย 

They discussed the forthcoming regional launch of the World Bank-funded Health Emergencies Preparedness, Response, and Resilience Programme (HEPRRP) for Eastern and Southern Africa.ย 

Kenya's hosting of the launch will bring together several countries, including Ethiopia and Sao Tome and Principe, while Burundi, Rwanda, and the DRC are expected to join the program inย May 2024.
