Scaling New Heights: KMTC Kapenguria Campus Thrives in Medical Training Excellence

Kapenguria, Monday November 13,2023 Since its establishment in September 2014, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Kapenguria has evolved from offering a Diploma in Nursing to a diverse range of courses, including certificates in Nutrition and Community Health Nursing, as well as a Diploma in Clinical Medicine, among others.

Proudly standing as one of the top-performing campuses among the 74 colleges nationwide, KMTC Kapenguria is fueled by the support of the County Government of West Pokot. Exciting plans are in motion for the introduction of a Higher Diploma Course in Nephrology, reinforcing the commitment to elevate healthcare at Kapenguria County Referral Hospital.

Principal Secretary State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni today visited KMTC Kapenguria Campus on the sidelines of the National Tree growing exercise. She urged students to seize the opportunity in school to excel in their studies. "Strive to become outstanding healthcare professionals by staying updated on international best practices and aspiring to global competitiveness."

The PS appreciated KMTC staff for their invaluable role in shaping and preparing students for the labor market. PS Muthoni reiterated the government commitment to support KMTC to ensure its continued standing as a premier middle-level training college for Health Human Resources (HRH).
