Redefining The Face Of Healthcare Professionals For Quality Patient Centric Healthcare Services

Principal Secretary (PS), Ministry of Health,State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards has today met with the Board of Directors for the Kenya Health Professionals Oversight Authority(KHPOA) led by the Chairman Dr. Amit Thakker.
They explored strategies for redefining the face of healthcare professionals in the country to ensure quality patient centric healthcare services for Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
The PS emphasized the need for defining the scope of all health cadres and regulatory bodies .This she said will not only eliminate duplication of roles but also ensure clarity for quality services. 
KHPOA was established under Health Act No 21 of 2017.It is mandated to provide oversight.of health regulatory authorities and professionals to protect the public from harm by ensuring quality of services.
