PS Mary Muthoni Engages Equity Bank on Strategic Public–Private Partnerships to Advance Universal Health Coverage
Nairobi , 2026 The Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, met with Equity Bank Kenya Managing Director, Mr. Moses Nyabanda to discuss leveraging private sector innovation and resources to achieve Universal Health Coverage.
The dialogue focused on addressing systemic challenges at the primary and community healthcare levels through strategic public–private partnerships.
Central to the talks were key grassroots initiatives such as the Jamii Imara Mashinani program for community engagement and the Epuka Uchafu, Afya Nyumbani campaign for household sanitation.
The leaders also prioritised maternal and child health, seeking to expand essential services nationwide.
