Tharaka Nithi  July25,2024 President William Ruto has  commissioned the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Marimanti Campus in Tharaka Nithi County . 

He highlighted the government's commitment to training healthcare workers to support the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) agenda. 

Additionally  the President pledged  Kshs. 30 million for the construction of hostels at the campus, emphasizing the importance of investing in healthcare education to enhance human resources for health in Kenya.
