Partnership to Boost Healthcare Delivery
Nairobi, Kenya – - Principal Secretary for Medical Services, Me Harry Kimtai met with Amref Health Africa, led by Dr. Ndirangu Wanjuki, to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership in enhancing healthcare delivery in Kenya.
The meeting focused on strategies to improve healthcare governance, finance, and accessibility. Key areas of discussion included the implementation of social health insurance, strengthening neonatal health, integrating health services, and promoting local manufacturing of health commodities.
“Strengthening our partnership with Amref is vital in achieving Universal Health Coverage as outlined in the Kenya Kwanza administration's agenda,” said Kimtai. “By working together, we can create a robust healthcare system that provides accessible, affordable, and high-quality care for all Kenyans.”
The partnership aims to contribute significantly to lowering maternal and neonatal mortality rates, improving health outcomes, and ensuring that all Kenyans have access to essential healthcare services.
