Nairobi Monday July17,2023 During a recent Public Private Partnership (PPP) event held on 21st June 2023 at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi, the Government of Kenya announced its commitment to work with the Government of the United States of America and UK government and the Vodafone and M-Pesa Foundations and other partners towards  the noble M-Mama Program.

M-mama is strategic Public Private Partnership between the above-mentioned entities geared towards enhanced maternal and newborn health through a digital, innovative, real-time referral system to address emergency transport challenges for pregnant women.

Ministry of health held the inaugural steering committee meeting at afya house and agreed to hasten the discussions around the establishment, launch and operationalization of the program starting with the development and adoption of a memorandum of understanding.
