National High Level Dialogue on Health Financing
Nairobi June 20, 2023 The government is keen to deploy cost effective strategies to improve health systems outcomes in the country. We aim to improve use of available resources as a strategy to achieve more resources for health.
Subsequently, the Ministry of Health, is shifting focus from investing in curative care to Primary Health Care which is mainly preventive, a smart move that is not only cost effective but also high impact.
We have today held a preparatory meeting towards the National High Level Dialogue on Health Financing. The Dialogue scheduled for 26th-28th June 2023 targets to align stakeholders towards sustainable financing of healthcare in line with national, regional and global commitments.
The meeting will bring together National and County Governments and development partners to advocate for increased Domestic Resource Mobilization (DRM) for sustainable health financing towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
