Muthoni Explores Collaborative Path Towards Universal Health Coverage

Tuesday October 31, 2023 In a pivotal meeting, the Principal Secretary of the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni engaged with Ben Aliwa, Chief Business & Finance Officer for PATH, to align their support with government health priorities, expediting progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC). 

The PS commented, "This alignment is a testament to our commitment to achieving UHC, as PATH's Global Strategy for 2023 mirrors our focus on health equity, strategic partnerships, and emergency preparedness."

This partnership strengthens PATH's pivotal role as a key collaborator for the Ministry of Health, actively contributing to critical domains including Malaria, Digital health, Non-communicable diseases, HIV and AIDS, among others. 

Ms Muthoni emphasized the significance of such collaborations, stating, "This partnership will drive substantial improvements in healthcare delivery, bringing us closer to realizing UHC, while underlining the essential role of partnerships in advancing public health."
