Multi Agency Approach to Eradicate Illicit Brews and Substance Abuse
Nairobi ,2024 A multi-agency team comprising of key stakeholders has this morning met under the leadership of the PS SDPHPS and discussed collaborative efforts to eradicate illicit brews Nicotine,tobacco products and other substance abuse.This follows the notification of government action on eradication of the menace though directives issued last week by the DP.
Ongoing efforts include licensing chemists and agrovets, enhancing surveillance at border points, enforcing tobacco product labeling/packaging and establishing rehabilitation facilities in public health facilities among others.
