Ministry Partners with Max Foundation to Expand Cancer Care Access

Nairobi, 22nd September 2023 - Principal Secretary of the State Department of Medical Services, Harry Kimtai, had a meeting with Pat Garcia, CEO of Max Foundation. 
 
During this meeting, they discussed the Ministry's partnership with Max Foundation, which aims to make Imatinib and other innovative molecules available to cancer patients at various healthcare facilities, including the Nairobi Hospital, MTRH, Nakuru, Mombasa, and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital. 
 
This collaboration is driven by the spirit of universal health coverage, and it underscores the Ministry's strong commitment to enhancing access to quality cancer care across Kenya. 
 
The PS took the opportunity to reiterate the Ministry's dedication to this important mission.
