MINISTRY OF HEALTH -USAID PARTNERSHIP ON PRIMARY HEALTHCARE

Nairobi Thursday June 22, 2023 Kenya is among initial seven focus countries across Africa and Asia set to benefit from Primary Impact,an initiative of the USAID aimed to drive results in Primary Health Care(PHC) systems.

The model aligns with the Government approach to leverage on partnerships, utilize existing resources to implement strategies that will accelerate PHC outcomes by integrating and improving coordination across health programs and increase information exchange.

The Ministry of Health Leadership has today held discussions with USAID representatives led by Assistant Administrator,Global Health Burea,Dr. Atul Guwande to align the Project with Government PHC priorities.

The Ministry highlighted key focus areas to in PHC Networks including strengthening human resources and diagnostic capacity for community level facilities and health commodity security. 

The Ministry is keen on rolling out PHC that support comprehensive preventive people centred care at the community level and @USAID Primary Impact Initiative couldn't have come at a more opportune time.
