Ministry Explores Partnership with HEALTHY U on Nutrition Awareness

Nairobi,  - Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr Ouma Oluga held a consultative meeting with a HEALTHY U delegation led by its Founder and Special Projects Director, Mr Sailesh Rach, at Afya House.

The discussions explored opportunities to improve public awareness of proper nutrition and healthy living, including the possible integration of nutrition awareness clinics into medical camps and community outreach programmes. HEALTHY U is a major distributor of food supplements in Kenya.

Dr Oluga reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to supporting local manufacturing and creating an enabling environment for indigenous manufacturers to grow, innovate and contribute to the country’s development.

He noted that local manufacturing remains a priority under the Government’s economic transformation agenda and supports President William Ruto’s continental leadership in advancing Africa’s manufacturing capacity.

The Principal Secretary emphasised the value of strategic partnerships in promoting preventive and promotive healthcare, strengthening nutrition education and supporting sustainable local production.
He said these interventions would contribute to improved health outcomes and accelerate the realisation of Universal Health Coverage for all Kenyans.
