KMPDC  2023-2028 Strategic Plan: Elevating Professional Standards for Universal Health Coverage (UHC)

Nairobi Wednesday, November 29,2023 The  Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) has today launched  their Strategic Plan 2023-2028. The document will be a guiding force for the Ministry in navigating the dynamic healthcare landscape and accelerating progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

Speaking during the launch of the strategy, Principal Secretary, State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni stated that plan's meticulous structure, covering Corporate Governance, Regulation and Enforcement, and Strategic Operations, sets the stage for the next five years of healthcare excellence.

With 16,398 registered health facilities and groundbreaking laws on the horizon, the PS emphasized the strategic plan's role in ensuring quality healthcare and patient safety. 

She called for collective commitment, dedication, and shared purpose to ensure successful implementation of the strategy. "Let's embark on this journey together, with stakeholders and partners supporting our mission to achieve unparalleled healthcare quality in Kenya.'" the PS urged.
