Kenya's Health Cabinet Secretary Visits MSF Global Supply Chain Offices In Belgium To Strengthen Partnership

Belgium, March 30, 2023

Dr. Nakumicha Susan Wafula, the Cabinet Secretary for Health, today concluded the Kenya Health Agenda in Belgium by visiting the Medicines Sans Frontiers (MSF) Global Supply Chain offices and warehouses in Brussels.
MSF, a worldwide humanitarian response organization, has been operating in Kenya since 1987 and presents various best practices in procurement, warehousing, and distribution of health products and technologies for Kenya.
Accompanied by Pierre-Paul Lamotte, General Director of MSF Supply, William Vannier, MSF Director of Supply Chain, and Sandra Lamarque, MSF Coordinator of Operations for East Africa, the Ministry of Health and MSF are exploring partnership opportunities to strengthen the public supply chain emergency response systems and health commodity security for Kenya and the East African Community (EAC) region as a whole. They will also work towards enhancing existing MOH-MSF partnerships in Kenya.
The visit marks an important step towards building a robust and sustainable health system in Kenya, with the aim of ensuring better health outcomes for all its citizens.
The partnership between the Ministry of Health and MSF will undoubtedly strengthen the country's public health supply chain emergency response systems and improve the health commodity security for the people of Kenya and the EAC region.
