Kenya–Egypt Talks Advance Investment in Nyatike Hospital
The State Department for Medical Services is seeking support for strategic health investments to strengthen the delivery of maternal, child and surgical care.
Principal Secretary Dr Ouma Oluga met the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Kenya, H.E. Hatem Yousri Hosni, to discuss stronger health cooperation between Kenya and Egypt.
The PS was accompanied by Migori County Governor H.E. Dr Ochillo Ayacko and Nyatike MP Hon. Tom Odege.
The engagement followed proposals submitted by the State Department to the Government of Egypt in
through the Kenya Mission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Discussions focused on investment in Nyatike Sub-County Hospital in Migori County, particularly in maternal, child and surgical care, which require significant investment.
