Kenya and Israel Forge Healthcare Partnership

Nairobi, Kenya 21st May 2024 -  Today, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Medical Services, Ministry of Health, Mr. Harry Kimtai, hosted a delegation from the Embassy of the State of Israel led by H.E. Ambassador Michael Lotem. 

The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration and bilateral relations between Kenya and Israel.

Discussions covered several key areas of cooperation, including the exchange of physicians specializing in emergency medicine and pediatrics from Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem

Additionally, the Israeli delegation pledged to donate state-of-the-art portable ultrasound equipment for diagnosing trauma and internal injuries during disasters. 

 The cooperation also extends to training primary healthcare workers on using the donated machines, supporting Kenya’s Universal Health Coverage initiative.
