Health Ministry Adopts Green Solutions to Fight Climate Change

Nairobi Wednesday April 17, 2024 The Ministry of Health is championing green solutions to combat climate change, advocating for the use of non-burn technology to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and pollutants.

At a meeting on Kenya's National Green Jobs and Skills Development, Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni highlighted the Ministry's updated Healthcare Waste Management Guidelines  and ongoing development of a Climate Change and Health Strategy for 2024-2029, alongside existing Environmental, Sanitation  and Hygiene policy 2016-2030. 

Ms. Muthoni called for multi-sectoral collaboration to ensure a sustainable future amidst climate challenges.
