Health CS Nakhumicha Wafula Prioritizes Upgrading Sinoko Health Centre in Webuye Sub-county

Bungoma, Kenya - 2nd January 2024 - In her dedication to actualize Kenya Kwanza's healthcare objectives emphasizing preventive and promotive healthcare, Health CS Nakhumicha S. Wafula made a significant visit to Sinoko Health Centre in Webuye sub-county.

ย During her tour, she highlighted the urgent need for the Bungoma County Government to accelerate the upgrade of this crucial facility.

ย CS Nakhumicha emphasized the pivotal role of this center in delivering essential healthcare services to the local community and expressed her commitment to engaging Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka to prioritize investments for its improvement.

Emphasizing the devolved nature of healthcare funding, she stressed the collaborative partnership between national and county administrations to elevate the quality of healthcare accessible to the ordinary citizens in the region.

ย Bungoma County CECM for Health and Sanitation, Andrew Wamalwa, commended CS Nakhumicha's initiatives in establishing effective frameworks for primary healthcare delivery, notably the Primary Healthcare Networks (PCNs) and Community Health Units.

He underscored the role of these systems in ensuring comprehensive healthcare services across the country.

Wamalwa also highlighted the significance of the Ministry of Health's strategic programs in shaping the government's Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

He praised the passing of health bills in Parliament, foreseeing a more integrated and standardized healthcare service system nationwide as a result.
