Nakuru, Kenya - 27 September 2023 - The National Multi-Hazard Preparedness and Response Plan workshop is now in its third day in Nakuru. 

This participatory workshop brings together experts from The Ministry of Health, World Health Organization (WHO) and partner organizations.

The workshop reflects the government's dedication to enhancing structures for a multi-sectoral response to disasters and public health threats, aligning with the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005) and Health Emergency & Disaster Risk Management Framework. 

The plan encompasses prevention, detection, preparedness, response, and recovery phases for various health hazards.
