Government Deploys Human Centred Design to end the Triple Threat of HIV,Gender Based Violence and Teen Pregnancies.

TuesdayJune,18, 2024 The Government of Kenya is committed to ending HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria by 2030. Utilizing a Human-Centered Design approach, the government is also tackling adolescent pregnancies, gender-based violence, and substance abuse.

Speaking in Meru County when she presided over a series of dialogue  meetings on the Human Centred approach to end t HIV, teen pregnancies, Malaria and  TB, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, emphasized the crucial role of Community Health Promoters (CHPs). "CHPs work with trusted community leaders to foster behavior change and reduce stigma," Muthoni stated. She highlighted the government's focus on community sensitization and the integration of services, such as offering HIV testing alongside TB screening, to ensure comprehensive care.

"We commend the dedication of our CHPs and look forward to collaborating with all stakeholders to promote health equity and sustainable disease prevention," Said the PS.
