Malaria continues to be a major public health concern globally, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. As we approach World Malaria Day 2023 on April 25th, we are pleased to announce a media engagement meeting on April 19th in Nairobi, Kenya.
This meeting will bring together journalists, media professionals, public health officials, researchers, and other stakeholders to discuss progress made in malaria prevention and control efforts, as well as to share new research findings and best practices for addressing this important public health issue.
On Thursday 13th, the Principal Secretary Ministry of Health State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, Dr. Josephine Mburu, attended a stakeholders' meeting to review the progress of preparations for the World Malaria Day 2023.
“As we approach the national event on April 25th, 2023 at Ekerenyo Grounds in Nyamira County, Kenya, we look forward to bringing together stakeholders and the public to highlight progress made in the fight against malaria and to renew our commitment to ending this devastating disease.”
