Deputy President Hails KMTC Role in Transforming Healthcare Through training

Nairobi, Kenya - 7thย December 2028ย - Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua praised the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for its significant role in elevating Kenya's healthcare system by training a large number of competent professionals.

At the 92nd Graduation Ceremony held at Kasarani Stadium, Gachagua highlighted the graduation of 22,695 healthcare professionals as a pivotal step towards achieving Universal Health Coverage in the country.

Alongside Cabinet Secretary for Health Nakhumicha S. Wafula, Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni (State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards), and the KMTC Board of Management, Gachagua emphasized KMTC's substantial contribution to the healthcare landscape and stressed the graduates' importance in tackling evolving medical challenges.

The Deputy President also acknowledged the government's ongoing health programs, noting that the addition of these graduates strengthens these efforts and significantly impacts citizen well-being.
