Collaborative Efforts for Last Mile Healthcare Services
Nairobi ,2023 Principal Secretary State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni has held a meeting with representatives from Baringo County Assembly Hon. Lokorio Josphat, Barwessa Ward- Chair of the Health Committee and Hon. Vincent Kiror, Baringo North.
They discussed strategies to fortify health services in the county focusing on pivotal areas including bridging human resource gaps, combatting the prevalent issues of Malaria, snake venom and Hepatitis B, and fortifying health infrastructure.
The PS stressed the need for collaboration between counties and National government in fostering an inclusive approach envisioned in the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Model(BETA).
"This synergy is paramount in advancing the Universal Health Coverage agenda. As we strive for a healthier nation, collective efforts are essential to ensure that every individual, irrespective of location, has access to quality healthcare." Said PS Muthoni.
