Bridging the Health Products Gaps for Universal Health Coverage

Nairobi Monday March 11,2024 The government has identified Health Products and Technologies (HPTs) as crucial for achieving the Afya Mashinani I goal. However, recent findings from the Health Facilities Census Report highlight significant deficiencies, with only 16% of assessed facilities having the essential 28 HPTs and just 15% equipped with the necessary 23 tracer non-pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceutical stakeholders convened today to discuss enhancing the supply chain at the primary healthcare level.
