Assessment of Kenya-UK Bilateral Agreement on Health Workforce
Nairobi April2,2024 Kenya has heavily invested in training healthcare professionals, with over 7,500 nurses and 1,000 doctors and dentists produced annually. Efforts are underway to fill employment gaps, including collaborations with other governments.
Through the Kenya-UK Bilateral Agreement, 280 nurses have migrated to the UK, with 200 more awaiting placement.
Findings from an assessment of the Kenya Health Workforce Partnership presented will guide future improvements for mutual benefit.
