Sh21B Allocation to Fund Free Outpatient Care, President Ruto Announces During Migori Health Projects Tour

Principal Secretary for Medical Services, Dr. Ouma Oluga, joined H.E. President Dr. William Samoei Ruto, EGH, on a development tour of Migori County to review progress on key health projects. These include the construction of Kehancha Level 4 Hospital, upgrades at Uriri Sub-County Hospital, and the equipping of Migori County Referral Hospital under the National Equipment Services Programme (NESP).
The visit also highlighted the progress of Social Health Authority (SHA) registration, with 467,927 residents โ 41.96% of Migoriโs population โ already enrolled.
During the tour, President Ruto directed that all citizens be treated without additional charges in Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 outpatient departments nationwide, noting that the government has allocated Sh21 billion to reimburse hospitals for these services.
