PS Oluga Launches Health Facility Digitization and SHA Registration Drive in Migori County

Medical Services Principal Secretary, Dr. Ouma Oluga,ย ย presided over the launch of the digitization of health facilities and the Social Health Authority (SHA) mass registration campaign in Migori County.
Dr. Oluga noted that digitizing health facilities is a key step towards improving health service delivery, enhancing accountability, and ensuring timely reimbursement for services rendered under SHA. The system will provide accurate, real-time patient data to support claims processing and performance tracking.
To support the digital transformation, the Principal Secretary donated 750 digital devices to Migori County, including 112 computers and 638 tablets. These tools will support facility-level operations, data management, and registration of beneficiaries under the new health insurance scheme.
At the same event, Dr. Oluga officially launched the SHA registration drive, encouraging residents to enroll. He emphasized that SHA is designed to make quality and affordable healthcare accessible to every Kenyan, particularly those in the informal sector.
Dr. Oluga applauded the Migori County Government for its leadership and collaboration in advancing the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) agenda.
