PS Muthoni Strategies to End Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)
Nairobi , 2024 Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Ms. Mary Muthoni, held a meeting with Mr. Jeremy Lefroy and Dr. Janet Lefroy, from Uniting To Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases, a global advocacy organization committed to end NTDS by mobilizing resources.
Discussions centered on improving surveillance, community education and health worker training on NTDs, as well as strengthening disaster management systems to better respond to health emergencies.
PS Muthoni, reiterated Kenya’s commitment to eliminating NTDs and thanked Uniting To Combat for their partnership in advancing public health goals.
