PS Meets With Global Fund Country Team.

Principal Secretary, Ministry of Health, State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, Dr. Josephine Mburu had a meeting with the Global Fund country team led by the Kenyan Portfolio Manager Mr. Paul McCarrick to apprise the PS on performance across TB, Malaria, HIV, Health Systems and Covid grants.

They discussed the Global Fund New Funding Model 3 grant is midway through implementation the new funding allocation to Kenya amounting to USD 392M for the years 2024-2027 where a funding request will be submitted by August 2021.

They also explored strategies to guide programming for the strategic disease programs to create efficiencies and synergies that will ensure maximum absorption of the grant ending 30th June 2024.

The PS reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to improve efficiency and transparency in the operations of the strategic programmes to ensure maximum utilization of grants for the benefit of Kenyans.
