PS Meets Action Against Hunger Officials (ACF) To Discuss Their Support In The Drought Mitigation Efforts.

The Government continues to work in collaboration with partners to mitigate the effects of the ongoing drought in the Country. Action Against Hunger, (ACF) has been a key partner on this front with a support of over Ksh.1B towards Ready To Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) and Ready to Use Therapeutic Supplements (RUTS) since 2020. Principal Secretary (PS), Ministry of Health State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Dr Josephine Mburu has today met ACF officials led by Country Director Keith Doyle to discuss issues around the collaboration.
The PS called for strengthened coordination by partners particularly for nutrition commodities for treatment of acute malnutrition. “This will ensure that there is no duplication, and all counties are covered equitably.” Dr. Mburu Said.
She reiterated the Government’s commitment to actualize Universal Coverage (UHC) through Primary Healthcare with nutrition as a key building block.
