Principal Secretary for Medical Services, Dr. Ouma Oluga,Β Β joined H.E. President William Ruto in Mombasa City County to mark a major milestone β€” the confirmation of 320 health staff from temporary contracts to permanent and pensionable (P&P) terms.

This achievement was made possible by Mombasa’s improved revenue performance, with the county collecting KSh 1.5 billion from the Social Health Authority (SHA) in the last 11 months. Mombasa now leads the nation as the No. 1 county with a performance rate of 68.4%.

The President commended Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, county health workers, and Community Health Promoters (CHPs) for their dedication, urging the other 46 counties to follow Mombasa’s example to accelerate the realization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
