The Principal Secretary for the State Department for Medical Services, Dr. Ouma Oluga,ย ย hosted a delegation from Thermo Fisher Scientific at Afya House, Nairobi.

The delegation, led by Mr. Dennis Kileba, Manager of Strategic Partnerships, expressed interest in partnering with the Ministry of Health in several key areas. These include disease surveillance, local vaccine manufacturing, health system strengthening, capacity building for research, and advancing oncogenomics, among other areas of collaboration.

Also present at the meeting were the Acting Director of the Kenya National Public Health Institute (KNPHI), Dr. Kamene Kimenye; Mr. George Okoth, Channel Manager, Life Science Group; Dr. Harold Ocholla, Manager, Global Health Equity; and Mr. Duncan Maina, Account Manager, Next Generation Sequencing.
