The Kenya Primate Research Institute (KIPRE) is at the forefront of conducting research in various areas, including phage therapy for Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria, an alternative therapy.

During her visit to the Institute, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, highlighted the importance of such solutions, especially considering the rise of antibiotic-resistant cases like Super Gonorrhea.

Additionally, the Institute is working on several reproductive health solutions and a local anti-venom vaccine.
The Ministry of Health stands committed to supporting KIPRE in their endeavors to enhance access and sustainability of HPTs towards achieving UHC. By investing in research and local solutions, we aim to create a healthier and more resilient healthcare system for all Kenyan citizens.
