PS Oluga Visits Coast General Hospital, Engages CHPs

πŒπ¨π¦π›πšπ¬πš, πŸ’π­π‘ π’πžπ©π­πžπ¦π›πžπ« πŸπŸŽπŸπŸ“Β β€” The Principal Secretary for the State Department for Medical Services, Dr. Ouma Oluga,Β Β visited the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital (CGTRH) to assess ongoing improvements in specialized care and to engage with frontline health workers.

During the tour, Dr. Oluga inspected key facilities including the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, the Paediatric Accident and Emergency Centre, the Newborn Unit, and the Cancer Radiotherapy Centre. These centres represent major strides in strengthening specialized and critical care services for the Coast region and beyond.

The Principal Secretary took time to address Community Health Promoters (CHPs), commending their vital role in primary healthcare delivery under the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) framework.

Dr. Oluga was taken around the hospital by Dr. Geraldine Kawira Munene, Director of Quality Assurance and Facility Outreach, and was accompanied by Dr. Mohammed Hanif (CDH, Medical), Dr. Salma Swaleh (CDH, Public Health), and Dr. Shen Patta (CDG).
