Kenya and China Advance Feasibility Study for Baringo and Londiani Hospital Upgrades

Principal Secretary for Medical Services, Dr. Ouma Oluga,ย ย held a meeting with representatives from the Chinese Embassy ahead of the feasibility study for the proposed upgrade of Baringo County Referral Hospital and Londiani Sub-county Referral Hospital.

The initiative follows the bilateral agreement made during the State Visit of H.E. President William Ruto to China in April, where both governments committed to strengthening healthcare infrastructure through targeted development support.

A Chinese delegation comprising technical experts is expected to arrive in Kenya to conduct site assessments at the two facilities. The Embassy was represented by:

The meeting discussed the roadmap for initiating the feasibility study, aligning technical requirements, and ensuring timely coordination between both governments for successful project delivery.
