Kenya Advances Vision 2030 Goals Through Local Vaccine Manufacturing
Kenya is making a decisive push towards vaccine self-reliance, placing BioVax at the forefront of its Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and local manufacturing strategy.
This week, Principal Secretary for Medical Services, Dr Ouma Oluga, toured the Kenya BioVax Institute where he was received by Dr Charles Githinji (Board Chair), Dr Cecilia Wanjala (Acting CEO) and Dr Emmanuel Nzai (Chairperson, Kenya Vision 2030).
The visit spotlighted BioVax’s critical role in strengthening national health security and driving the Vision 2030 agenda — ensuring Kenya is not just a consumer of vaccines, but a producer and supplier for the region.
