JKIA Port Health Nurses Celebrate International Nurses Week with Community Health Outreach

𝐍𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢, 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐚 - 11th May 2024 - This year's International Nurses Week, observed from May 6th to 12th, honored the significant contributions nurses make to communities. 

 At JKIA Port, nurses marked the occasion by providing complimentary medical check-ups to over 60 airport taxi drivers on Thursday, May 9th. 

 The initiative included screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, health discussions, and voluntary counseling and testing (VCT).

Additionally, the Port community gained insight into the vital role of Port Health Services in controlling infectious diseases.

To conclude the week, all nurses were treated to a lunch and received messages of appreciation from Madam Florence Mureithi, the Port Health Officer in charge.
