Government Keen on Evidence-Based Investments for UHC
Nairobi , 2025 The Government is keen on expanding access to affordable and quality health care. With the tight fiscal space, evidence-based and targeted investment is critical, making data analytics an important tool for informed decision-making.
It is against this backdrop that the Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni held a meeting with Genesis Analytics to explore collaboration in advancing Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Key areas of focus included strengthening health financing to build a resilient financial landscape, enhancing disease surveillance and preparedness, integrating climate change in health planning, and leveraging data analytics for investment in health.
The session was attended by the Genesis Analytics team led by Betty Maina, Director for East Africa.
