CS Duale Visits TaifaCare Support Centre, Hub of 147 Hotline

Nairobi, KENYA - Health Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale on , 2025, visited the TaifaCare Support Centre, which operates the 147 toll-free hotline, to check on progress in strengthening Kenya’s healthcare system through the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program.

Powered by the Digital Health Agency (DHA), the Centre connects citizens, healthcare providers, and government in real time. Since its launch in , it has received more than 1 million calls, helping to resolve issues quickly while collecting valuable feedback to improve services.

The Centre’s innovative approach includes plans to introduce AI-powered chatbots to make healthcare services even more accessible.

This initiative demonstrates government’s commitment to building a responsive, transparent, and efficient health system. Kenyans are encouraged to register for TaifaCare via *147# or the AfyaYangu Platform, and to use the toll-free line to report service concerns.

With the TaifaCare Support Centre leading the way in citizen-centered healthcare, Kenya is making steady progress toward achieving Universal Health Coverage.
