Collaboration To Improve Medical Supplies Logistics For Rural Health Centres.

Today, the Principal Secretary, State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, Dr. Josephine Mburu, received a courtesy call from NARMA INC to discuss their planned collaboration to improve the logistics of delivering medical supplies in rural health centers in Kenya.
The project will use drone technology to deliver lifesaving medical supplies such as anti-venom, vaccines, blood, and more. The pilot phase is expected to take place in the counties of Machakos, Makueni, and Tharaka Nithi, between March 2023 to March 2024 with approximately 300 flights planned to deliver the safesaving medicine.
Dr. Mburu emphasized that the Ministry will provide guidance through appropriate policy regulations.
