Cabinet Secretary For Health Meets With Kenya National Union Of Nurses To Discuss Key Issues

The Cabinet Secretary for Health, Dr. Nakhumicha S Wafula, met today with the leadership of the Kenya National Union of Nurses to discuss pressing issues affecting the nursing profession. Among the key topics of discussion were the re-negotiation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and contractual engagements for nurses.
The meeting comes at a crucial time when nurses in Kenya have been pushing for better pay and working conditions. The nurses' union has been advocating for the implementation of the 2017 CBA, which they claim has not been fully implemented. The CBA is meant to provide better remuneration and working conditions for nurses in the public sector.
