Nairobi Tuesday May 7, 2024 Today, Principal Secretary State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni Mathare led a team from the state Department in  crucial health promotion initiatives for families affected by flooding. 

The PS noted that the purpose was educate them about food hygiene and water safety practices. 

The team also provided vital information on access to vaccines and referral systems to the nearest healthcare facilities, facilitated by Community Health Promoters (CHPs). In addition to education, they also distributed water treatment supplies.

"Our goal is to not only impart practical knowledge but also equip the community with essential skills to maintain their health in challenging circumstances." Said PS Muthoni.
